App Development
Although we strongly believe in the power of the web, apps have their place – and can be built using the power of the web!
There are some applications that call for, well, an application. If you need to monitor location, generate geofence-triggered alerts, detect proximity to bluetooth beacons, push notifications, access a user’s files, contacts or use other device-specific features… you’re going to need an app.
We use web technologies to build cross-platform apps once, then publish Android and iOS versions to both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. This is made possible by the Ionic Framework – which can do all those things we mentioned earlier, and pretty much anything else you could do in a native app. What’s more, Ionic apps are installed from the app stores and used just like any native app so there’s no difference to the user.
In addition, Ionic apps can be deployed to the web as PWAs (progressive web apps), so you get 3 for the price of 1!
So if you have an idea for an app, and cutting your development time in half (or by two thirds!) sounds like a good idea – get in touch.
