Soluis successfully won funding to implement a prototype Augmented Reality (AR) application for the construction industry, with the aim of improving efficiency and safety.
With a team of experienced developers already in-house, Soluis turned to New Now to manage the project. An application was developed to replace quality assurance checklists used on-site, initially for Daqri’s hardhat device, then later ported to Microsoft’s HoloLens.
A backend was also developed to capture participants’ responses and photographs taken using the app. Successful trials were then conducted, replacing a genuine task in a real construction environment, with extremely positive feedback from participants.
